Library Dashboard

Dashboard

A dashboard for a library's circulation desk. A band of today's numbers opens it: checkouts against the same weekday last week, returns due, books on loan, overdue loans and active readers. Below sit borrowing activity with weekends shaded and a 7-day average, borrowing by category, a weekday-by-hour heatmap of the busiest hours, returns due over the next two weeks, a status donut that switches the list below it between available, borrowed and overdue books, the five most borrowed titles, waiting lists that flag titles with more than three readers queuing per copy, and a month-against-month comparison. Date-range and category filters in the header feed the panels through a shared React context, and every chart is Recharts. The data is generated when the page loads, a hundred copies of twenty-five titles and six months of borrowing that runs busier at weekends and after school, so the numbers are different on every visit.
