Owl Mixer
Mum owl and dad owl are each one colour of paint. Mix the two and you get their baby's colour — red and yellow make a little orange owl, red and green make a brown one. Ten rounds, one guess each, getting harder as you go.
A colour-mixing quiz for children. Two parent owls are each a colour of paint; guess what colour their baby comes out. Twenty-five colours mixed by a real subtractive model rather than a lookup table, ten rounds that get harder, and wrong answers that get closer to right as they do.

Owl Mixer
A colour-mixing quiz with no table of answers anywhere in it. Paints are mixed by the geometric mean of their reflectances — the Beer-Lambert idea that pigments subtract light and so multiply rather than average, which is why yellow and blue come out green here and grey in anything that averages RGB. The palette is built by that same function: five pigments are given a hex, and the other twenty colours are declared as mixtures and coloured by whatever the mixer makes of them, so no swatch can disagree with the question. Which pairs the game may ask about is then discovered rather than written down — every pair is mixed, and the ones landing squarely on a named colour become askable, which turns up combinations nobody listed, like pink and sky blue making lavender or teal and rose making grey. Difficulty is measured, not assigned: a round scores high when its answer is easy to confuse with another paint, when it resembles one of its own parents, and when the parents are themselves mixtures. Rounds are drawn up that curve, and the three wrong owls slide from across the paint box to near misses as it steepens.
