Crab&Stick 3D

Game

The 3D version of Crab&Stick, built with Three.js. The rules and speeds are the 2D game's: hold the mouse, a finger or the space bar to grow a stick, let go to drop it across the gap, and the crab walks over if it reaches the next pipe. Landing on the red dot at a pipe's centre scores double, and the best score is kept in localStorage. Everything is modelled in code, with no image or model files: the crab, from ellipsoids and cylinders, scuttles sideways with its six legs lifting in alternating phase, follows the stick with its eyes on stalks, blinks, and snaps its pincers after a perfect landing; pipes rise out of a low-poly sea whose waves are a sum of sines, with foam rings bobbing at the waterline. Sandy islands with palm trees and drifting clouds give the depth that the 2D game's parallax faked, and a miss ends in a splash.
