Sokoban
Game
Classic Sokoban, drawn on a canvas and tuned for small hands on a phone, that keeps going long after the easy levels. A bear cub pushes wooden crates onto stars: a crate smiles and turns gold when it lands, and looks worried when it is pushed somewhere it can never get out of, while the undo button wiggles to help. Move with the big d-pad, a swipe, the arrow keys, or tap a spot and the cub walks there by the shortest path. There are 110 levels in six worlds. Garden, Beach and Snow are hand-made for young children, from one crate in a straight line upward; Desert, Cave and Space are generated by a backward search from the solved position that keeps the starts needing the most pushes, climbing to six-crate puzzles that take 102 pushes at best, the last ones in bigger rooms reshaped by hill-climbing until they got deeper. Every level ships with a solution found by a separate forward solver and replayed by an independent rules engine in the tests. Undo is unlimited and even a restart can be undone. Everything on the board is drawn in code, the sounds are synthesised with Web Audio, and finished levels earn a star kept in this browser.
